Megan Thee Stallion reveals she was shot in both feet, needing surgery, in tearful IG live

"It was the worst experience of my life," the Houston rapper said

Following news that she was shot earlier this month, Megan Thee Stallion went on Instagram Live yesterday to update her fans about the incident.

Real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, the Houston rapper sustained injuries after being shot in both of her feet on July 12th while in the company of Tory Lanez, who was arrested by Los Angeles police later that day.

In the tearful address to her fans, Megan explained that “I was shot… in both of my feet, and had to get surgery […] to get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary.”

“It was the worst experience of my life […] it was nothing to joke about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody, I didn’t deserve to get shot.”

Addressing the theory that people thought her silence had been to protect the perpetrator, she said: “It’s not that I was protecting nobody, I just wasn’t ready to speak.”
