Darkness enlists Elf Kid and Jus Rival on belting grime single ‘100 Degrees’

The single sees the East Londoner rekindle a fan-favourite collaboration

East London producer and label head Darkness returns with his first single of 2022, enlisting Lewisham-hailing emcee Elf Kid alongside fellow East Londoner and grime scene veteran Jus Rival.

Darkness originally gained recognition for his music during his teenage years, where his fiery grime beats began to do the rounds on social media sites, online forums and community radio stations. In 2015, he signed to DJ Cable’s Triangulum imprint for several releases, including his ‘Eski Thug EP’, before founding his very own label Quantum Sound the following year.

Having gone on to work with the likes of AJ Tracey, Dizzee Rascal, D Double E and Big Zuu, Darkness is steadily growing in stature as a label owner and producer.

His latest offering ‘100 Degrees’ sees the East Londoner rekindle a fan-favourite collaboration between himself and Elf Kid, the cheeky, boast-filled rapper who burst onto the scene as a teenager in 2015 with his viral hit ‘Golden Boy’.

After releasing singles ‘Bad Breed’ and ‘Text Me’ together last year, the new track is an ice-cold grime anthem which sees Elf’s skippy flows surf Darkness’ ominous, off-kilter production. Jus Rival lends the track an extra dose of potency with his verse, delivering his cut-throat lyrics with conviction and ease.
