Eyedress - Nature Trips

We last featured the simmering electro-pop of Filipino producer Eyedress in October of last year, with his glitch- and glimmer-covered beats appearing underneath a soft, romantic vocal in a track he produced for Skint Eastwood. In the past year, his sound has become tighter, sharper and darker, and the result is this new track Nature Trips, a sparse and sinister synth-pop track (taken from his upcoming 'Supernatural' EP) that sounds kind of like Kavinsky – even if you don't take into account the "man in embellished jacket prowls the city at night" vibe of the video.

Everything in this track just works: the loose abandon of the vocal sighing "I don't give a fuck…I just wanna forget everything that's making me feel bad", the clipped arpeggios and floor-filling bass moans all come together to create something with a grasp as tight and vicious as that of the creepy masked dude in the film.
