Emily Kai Bock, director of one of the most memorable music videos of recent times in the form of Grimes’ Oblivion, has put together a documentary on New York’s underground rap scene named ‘Spit Gold Under An Empire’. A short preview of the film has recently premiered on Nowness, focusing on Mykki Blanco, Angel Haze and CJ Fly.
