Zola Jesus - Fall Back

Icy operatic singer and maker of experimental, pulsating pop music Zola Jesus is set to release a new orchestral album next week with collaborator JG Thirlwell, and just to make sure you're excited, here's a stormer of a new track in Fall Back. Usually noted for her gut-wrenchingly loud and fierce vocal, Nika Roza Danilova here sings in more measured, calm tones over a flurry of precariously light strings and an insistent drum roll. This is one of the highlights of the new record, and if you listen to it on the move, it might just turn your mundane journey into a mighty quest.
