Zola Jesus - Avalanche (Slow)

Nika Roza Danilova aka Zola Jesus has teamed up with renowned industrial producer J.G. Thirwell on a new album named ‘Versions’. The concept of ‘Versions’ is pretty simple: Danilova and Thirwell have taken 10 originals from the Zola Jesus back catalogue and reworked them into classical string arrangements with the Mivos String Quartet. The first track to emerge from the record is a version of Avalanche, which originally appeared on her 2011 album ‘Conatus’. The result is as gloomy as you might expect.

Sacred Bones will release ‘Versions’ on August 20th.
