Woman's Hour - Darkest Place (Rainer remix)
Forward-thinking pop duo take a ghostly indie pop song to the dancefloor.
In the latest of a string of lovely remixes of electronic indie four-piece Woman's Hour, future-minded pop duo Rainer rub down the spectral track into a glitchy dancefloor wriggler. Producer Casually Here buries Woman's Hour singer Fiona Burgess's smart, understated voice under a 2-step shuffle and the heady shimmer of additional vocals; but, as overwhelming as that might all sound, it still ends up being a wonderfully restrained dance track that holds on to all the looming shadows of the original.
Woman's Hour and Rainer both performed at our first ever Dummy AGM a couple of weeks back; see some photos of them in action in our gallery from the weekend.
