Wildarms - Full Hearts

Wildarms, the alias of New York musician and music journalist Duncan Cooper, is very much at home at Cascine. Recently premiered at Dazed Digital, his track Full Hearts is everything that I’ve come to expect from the label – quirky song-based music with pop inflections presented in gleaming hi-definition. It’s all quite joyous and uplifting, which should be a surprise given that the lists Friday Night Lights, Peter Berg’s high school football drama, as one of his main inspirations, and has hints of hip hop running throughout it without ever wandering into the dreaded territory of reappropriation.
