Relive Beck's astounding cover of Bowie's 'Sound And Vision' in 360°

He used over 160 musicians, 360° cameras, special multi-directional microphones and a slowly rotating platform.

Taking the David Bowie original as a very literal celebration of audio and visual extranganza, Beck performed a novel “re-imagining” of Sound And Vision with a huge 157 piece orchestra last week as part of a one-off event in LA sponsored by luxury car manufacturer Lincoln. You can watch a video of the performance below as captured by music director Chris Milk, and for the full 360° A/V experience – complete with a webcam recognition program that can track your head movements to adjust the camera – head over to the ‘Hello, Again’ project page.
