Throwing Shade - Pure Life

Following on from a live performance at London's Cafe Oto last week – a fairly droney set that saw her immersed in house plants – experimental producer/DJ Throwing Shade has shared Pure Life, a new song from her '19 Jewels' EP for No Pain In Pop.

While lead track Sweet Tooth was, beneath its washy synths and broken rhythms, almost like a bright pop song, Pure Life is darker and more vapourous, its spoken word chants – "pure life", "pure love" – denying the listener any obvious meaning. If you're in London, there's a '19 Jewels' EP release party on June 5th.
