Hudson Mohawke - Brainwave

Hudson Mohawke has shared a new song from his forthcoming 'Chimes' EP.

Brainwave is the real deal. Don't get us wrong, Chimes was a perfectly decent tune – a high octane, high energy club banger more aligned to his TNGHT material – but it didn't quite have that same weird streak that categorised much of debut album 'Butter'. Brainwave however is a strange, squelching, yet radiant number, at times sounding a bit like labelmate (and potential collaborator/fellow Haribo appreciator) Oneohtrix Point Never. All in all, it makes us even more excited for the release of his new album – whenever that might happen.
