GAIKA, Kai Whiston, Big Zuu and more play Roundhouse Rising festival

Discover tomorrow's headliners at the heart of Camden...

More than just an iconic London venue, the Roundhouse has also been known as a talent incubator for aspiring young creatives.

Roundhouse Rising festival has paved the way for successful young artists including Little Simz, Tom Misch, The Magic Gang, and many more, and it returns this year from 15th to 29th October to spotlight new sounds and showcase emerging talent.

Teaming up with BBC Introducing, The Great Escape, global artist agency Paradigm, female collective The F Word and Bucks Music Group, Gilles Peterson, Future Bubblers and 13 Artists, Roundhouse Rising reveals the line-up for its ninth edition.

‘Britain’s most vital rapper’ GAIKA is headlining the main space in Roundhouse, performing an exclusive one-off  show joined by a ten-piece jazz ensemble on the closing day of the festival.

While the more intimate Sackler Space will host exciting acts from Æ MAK, West London grime MC Big Zuu, much-celebrated soul singer Greentea Peng, electro-beat luminaries Colossal Squid, pioneering producer Kai Whiston, Liverpool’s genre-defying electronic experimentalists Stealing Sheep, Swedish urban pop artist and producer Eva-Lina to spoken-word and post-punk Athena Sinead O’ Brien.

Also on the lineup are ’60s-inspired indie band Weird Milk, rappers on the rise HMD, Priincess Kemz and R.A.E, soulful singer-songwriters Anaïs and Martha Da’Ro and Roundhouse Resident Artist IORA.

Expect more music including new modern jazz, leftfield electronics, live sets from ten exceptional emerging musicians age 18-25 featured on the Rising Sounds compilation throughout the festival.
