Hudson Mohawke - Preview of Satin Panthers [Stream]

The eminent producer has released a snippets preview of his next EP, due for release in August.

Listing everyone from Cybotron to Aaliyah as an influence on his sound, Hudson Mohawke is a force to be reckoned with. His next EP, Satin Panther, is due for release this August, and is generating masses of anticipation, not least added to by hip hop producer Just Blaze , who tweeted that he was “moved to tears” on listening to the tracks.

The preview, which you can listen to below, takes the listener through wonky, unravelling beats that eventually blossom into sugary, R&B-tinged rhythms, taking a detour through some heavy piano chords. If this preview is anything to go by, then the excellent single Thunder Bay is only the tip of the iceberg for this EP.
