Premiere: Matthias Zimmermann & SCNTST - Tommy

Hot from sharing Crystal & Ikonika's Dream Incubation from Parisian club label Sound Pellegrino's new compilation 'SND.PE Vol.2: Crossover Series' , we've got its pumping opening track to liven up your Friday afternoon.

Keeping with the compilation's theme of assembling sometimes less-than-obvious collaborations, here label regular Matthias Zimmermann partners with Boys Noize protégé SCNTST. In fact, this is one of the album's more obvious meetings – they're the sole collaborative survivors from the first volume – but that's testament to the two German producer's clear chemistry. Whereas Vol.1's Rick was all house-y bright breeziness, Vol.2's Tommy brings out SCNTST's ear more clearly, adding a hearty breakbeat to proceedings.  

So, two tracks in and you'd be correct in thinking good things about 'SND.PE Vol.2', and that's without highlighting the contributions of Night Slugs guys Helix and L-Vis 1990 (spoiler: both of their tracks are a bit good). Stream Tommy below.
