Premiere: Gold and Soil - Gold and Soil [album stream]

In September we premiered Alone, a track that appears on Gold and Soil’s self-titled debut album. The alter ego of Ana Caravelle and Ryan York, Gold and Soil have worked both independently and with other artists in the past – Caravelle released a solo record in 2010, whilst York has released records as Asura in the past, alongside work as a cellist and double bassist on Zola Jesus’ ‘Contatus’ LP last year – but this album marks the first proper collaboration between the two, bringing together both artists’ respective musical disciplines and mixing it with a masterful, synthesised production technique.
