Today Dummy is taking part in a kind of online AlunaGeorge relay race, in which several music sites have taken it in turns to share new tracks from the dance-pop duo's forthcoming debut album 'Body Music' – you can hear the first six tracks over on Disco Naivete, Abeano, The Guardian, The Line of Best Fit, This Is Fake DIY and Konbini, and look out for the next one at 7pm over on Digital Spy. There aren't many bands who could convince a range of different sites to re-enact sports day antics in their honour, but if there's a musical baton we'd want to pick up (to stretch this metaphor as far as it can possibly go), it's the tightly structured, fresh and futuristic pop baton of this once-Tri Angle, now-Universal pair.
It's 6pm on a Thursday night and we're in a party mood as we bring you singer Aluna Francis and big G George Reid's take on Montell Jordan's irresistible This Is How We Do It. Played on air before in the Live Lounge and a regular live set staple for the duo, fans will have heard AlunaGeorge's off-kilter pop sound wrapped around the 90s gem before in various states of lo-fi, but now you can dance into Friday with all the gloss and camp you could hope for from a meeting of these two artists. It's sweet enough to give you cavities, but you won't be able to stop smiling – that is, you know you like it but it drives you insane. Stream it below.
Universal will release 'Body Music' on the 29th July 2013.
