Planningtorock - Misogyny Drop Dead (Holly Herndon remix)

Following on from a great effort by Pursuit Grooves, computer lover Holly Herndon has remixed Planningtorock’s outstanding call-to-arms Misogyny Drop Dead.

Herndon’s album ‘Movement’ moved deftly between beatless avant-garde electronic music and EBM-leaning dance tracks, and her remix reconciles these two styles. Jet black strings and ghostly vocal effects open the track and continue to run throughout it, but the techno obsessions still manifest themselves – weighty low-end, warehouse-sized 303 basslines and drum machine claps are all present and accounted for.
