Mount Kimbie - You Took Your Time (feat. King Krule)

Mount Kimbie have shared the third track from their upcoming second album ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’. Titled You Took Your Time, it’s one of a couple of songs that will feature the young London singer King Krule – who actually speaks and scrawls more than he croons here. Like both Made to Stray and Blood and Form, this is immediately less pretty and tightly structured than much of ‘Crooks & Lovers’ – with the duo’s minimal percussion and resonant synth lines trundling to an off-kilter half-crescendo as King Krule’s story grows more pained and desperate.
