Midnight Davis - Timely [stream]

Dubby and haunted, this song from new east London producer/singer Midnight Davis (so new he doesn’t appear to have a site to link to yet) is a yawning nod to the abyss – emotionally exhausted, drained of life. Or, in other words, it’s really good to listen to when you’re feeling let down by love. “Tell me what I should feel,” repeats Midnight Davis in a numb tone that recalls the recession days of post-punk. Timely is one of five songs that will appear on Midnight Davis’s debut EP ‘Aftershocks’, which, according to the man himself, is “about girls and failure.”
