West End Records to release unheard version of Loose Joints’ Is It All Over My Face?

An unreleased, 13-minute version of the Arthur Russell classic will be available next month alongside a new edit by Kon.

West End Records are releasing an unheard, extended version of Arthur Russell's classic Loose Joints song, Is It All Over My Face?

The original Loose Joints single featured two versions: a nine-minute 'Male Vocal' and a seven-minute 'Female Vocal' mix by Larry Levan, the latter of which has become a weird disco classic since its release in 1980.

The new 12" features an unreleased 13-minute cut of the song, as well as a three-minute edit of Larry Levan's remix that was otherwise only available on a 7" promo. Re-edit specialist Kon was also given access to the original multi-track, and provides a 'duet' mix made by combining the male and female vocal versions.

Loose Joints 'Is It All Over My Face?' tracklist:

01. Is It All Over My Face? (Kon's Duet Mix)
02. Is It All Over My Face? (Unreleased Single Female Vocal Version)
03. Is It All Over My Face? (Unreleased Original Full Length Version)

West End Records release 'Is It All Over My Face? – Kon Edit/Unreleased Original Versions' on July 20th 2015.
