Lapalux - Swallowing Smoke (alternate version)

Sample king Lapalux gave us a silky smooth taste of his debut album ‘Nostalchic’ last week with Guuurl. Now, to make us even more eager to hear the Brainfeeder LP, an alternate version of Swallowing Smoke has appeared, one of the tracks set to feature on the full-length.

There’s a bouncing hip hop beat, watery trickles, bells clanging, laser bleeps and fluttering wings – but all the samples are put so carefully in place that the outcome doesn’t feel cluttered but soothing and mellow. Stream it below.
