Kokoroko headline The Roundhouse in January

The eight-piece collective will appear at the iconic venue early next year...

Splintering out of London’s vibrant new jazz scene, eight-piece band Kokoroko channel their West African influences into something completely unique, inspired by greats like Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor and Tony Allen.

Emerging from the same world as Moses Boyd, Shabaka Hutchings and Nubya Garcia, their self-titled EP dropped via Brownswood in March and found them putting a fresh spin on Afrobeat.

The group – led by trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey – are set to headline London’s iconic Roundhouse on January 28th 2020, following standout appearances at Ronnie Scotts and Afropunk.
