Joy Division and New Order masters unearthed in cellar by Jamie Oliver

Oh, there they are! Master tapes from Manchester's most talented sons discovered by celebrity chef, alongside jewels and guns, in the basement of an old bank.

Astounding news of the day – while converting an old Midlands bank for his latest restaurant, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver discovered a haul of prize artefacts from Manchester’s past. This being the recent past, however, hidden in the safe deposit boxes of the Grade II listed building, above, were guns, jewels and Joy Division and New Order masters. No word as yet on the contents of these masters, but this news, which we’re labelling “our Sutton Hoo”, raises the tantalising possibility of new Joy Division / New Order music.
