PiL record first new music in 20 years

John Lydon's post punk heroes follow in the steps of Sex Pistols by re-uniting.

For anyone bored with band reunions riding on old material, you’ll be happy to note that John Lydon and company are back with a new track. It not only sounds like the Public Image Ltd we know and love but manages to sound fresh.

Premiering on BBC Music this week, the first track from their up-coming album due out in May or June, One Drop is a tribute to their East London roots and features that reggae rhythm that made them such a vital force. It’ll be out on vinyl EP on April 21st for Record Store Day, and PiL will probably perform it at BBC 6 Music’s 10th Anniversary Celebration on March 16th at the Southbank Centre in London. An album is promised in May or June.
