In its original form, You Naked, a track from Jamie Lidell’s recent self-titled album, is a funk song gone undeniably awry. It’s all over the shop, really, but there’s a hint of a slick and streamlined song hidden deep beneath the wonk, and it’s this which Jimmy Edgar brings out in his remix. Edgar’s remodelling is a sweaty dancefloor workout, finding the sex of Lidell’s voice and transposing it onto a raw, jacking rhythm.
