DJ Mehdi (1977-2011)

Sad news: the much-loved house producer DJ Mehdi has passed away aged just 34. DJing since the mid 90s in Paris, Mehdi Favéris-Essadi began working with Pedro Winter on various nights in the French capital that bridged the gap between house and hip hop, a sound crystallised on their label, Ed Banger. He’s responsible for many great remixes and productions, most notably with his band Carte Blanche and countless nights out. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
