D33J - Slow (feat. Kreyola)

D33J has got another EP lined up on Anticon next month, which is reported to have been written and recorded while he spent a few months living in a warehouse in downtown San Francisco. Surrounded by other artists and creatives, the producer has described both his self-consciousness of perching over his laptop to sing in the hope of no one hearing him, while also having the convenience of pulling in other residents to contribute vocals over his beats. This resulted in Kreyola's feature on Slow, which puts to use the barebones of US club music – 808s, piercing drum claps, cranked-up bass – but puts them to reflective use rather than burning raw club energies out of them.

Anticon will release the 'Gravel' EP on the 15th October 2013.
