Charli XCX collaborates with Nintendo on a song for its Japanese theme park

Charli XCX and Galantis have released a hyper-pop track celebrating Nintendo for the opening of its theme park in Japan: Super Nintendo World.

‘We Are Born To Play’ arrives with a bizarre CGI video that doesn’t actually reveal any of the park, which is currently under construction in Universal Studios in Osaka.

Instead it features Charli dressed as Princess Peach alongside beloved Nintendo characters like Toad and Mario.

Interpolating iconic Super Mario melodies, the collaboration is all saccharine synths and steel drum hits. Listen below.
