BUDX is hitting Amsterdam on September 25th and 26th for an exciting programme of talks, masterclasses and parties that champion the city’s cultural influence.

A collaboration between Mixmag and Budweiser, the event series will be throwing two parties in the capital, headlined by UK icon Benji B and US house legend Kerri Chandler.

Across the two days, BUDX is also hosting a selection of free panel talks and workshops exploring the cross-section of music, technology, fashion and film.

On Wednesday September 25th, a panel titled ‘Sustainable Festivals of the Future’ meets Dutch event organisers to explore how festivals can become more green, moderated by music journalist and presenter Pay Kolmüs.

Another panel is set to examine the LGBTQ+ roots of club culture, via Roxy founder Eddy de Clercq, Marieke Samallo of Milkshake, Perry Gits of House of Vineyard and Amsterdam Night Mayor Shamiro van der Geld.

In addition, there’s a talk on how Amsterdam’s tastes have shaped the world, chatting to some of the country’s most revolutionary visual artists, plus a live interview with influential dance duo Detroit Swindle, before the night’s Kerri Chandler-headlined party kicks off.

On Thursday 26th, ‘Fashion, Hip Hop & Amsterdam – The Ultimate Mix’ delves into how style has cross-pollinated into other forms of culture across different generations, with Karim Afifi of Daily Paper, Maru Asmellash of The New Originals and Virgil Chocolaad of Patta.

Also that day, Charisa Chotoe of AT5 will meet the next generation of Amsterdam beatmakers, including Niaggi, Roselilah and Styn, to find out more about their creative process. Plus there’s an art talk that asks: What type of cultural infrastructure does a city need to have in order to stimulate new cultural initiatives and underground movements?

Come nighttime, Benji B will be spinning alongside a host of hand-selected Dutch talent that includes Tom Trago, Jarreau Vandal, Detroit Swindle and more.
