Black Hippy - U.O.E.N.O (Remix)

U.O.E.N.O broke from a free mixtape by Rocko and was quickly clouded by controversy over an offensive and unthinking line by Rick Ross, but the power of that wilting, flouting synth line is still a marvel. Childish Major won’t reveal the exact plug-in he used to make it and most other rappers have had to settle for imitations, but he was kind enough to offer the original beat to the Black Hippy gang for this remix. Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock are all fine rappers individually and their group efforts are the better because of it: coming across like four talented friends passing the mic around and doing their thing rather than a strict hierarchical or overly structured thing.
