In our interview with Brooklyn-based artist Autre Ne Veut last year, he told us, “Sexy music and soulful singing, regardless of genre, has always been a preference. Soul and R&B have a lot of that. Ultimately, I don’t think I’m actually making R&B, I’m just making music that isn’t afraid to include R&B in the mix.”
