Atumpan - The Thing (Todd Edwards remix)

Here’s one for the summer: Todd Edwards has remixed the new single from Ghanaian singer Atumpan and it is very, very fun. The remix first made an appearance on his Essential Mix, its fiendishly addictive steel drum riff and bouncy groove sticking out as one of the most immediate things on it, and was recently given a full premiere on Mistajam’s show on BBC Radio 1xtra. The full single is getting re-released through Ministry of Sound later this year (the original was a hit in 2012), but you can stream Todd’s rework below.

Ministry of Sound will release ‘The Thing’ on 25th August.
