A fascinating study picked up on by the Atlantic proved conclusively that all pop songs are about having sex. Or, as the SUNY Albany psychology professor Dawn R. Hobbs charmingly euphemised in Evolutionary Psychology, “reproductive messages.” Of 174 top ten songs, 92% had a sexy theme, with sex mention on average 10.49 times per song.
