All nominated artists will perform at the Mercury Prize Awards Show

For the first time ever, every artist nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize will perform at the ceremony on the 6th September.

This year there will be more reasons to watch the Barclaycard Mercury Prize awards show than ever before, as it promises live performances from all twelve of its nominees.

2011 will be the first time that this has ever been achieved, with multiple artists making special arrangements to travel to the country for the event. Presumably it will also be the first and only time that may of them appear on the same bill (we’re looking at you, James Blake and Tinie Tempah).

The BBC will be providing live multi-platform coverage of the event on BBC Two (from 10pm) and 6Music (from 8pm), including the announcement of the award winner at the end of the show. The nominated albums are as follows:

Adele ‘21’
Anna Calvi ‘Anna Calvi’
Elbow ‘Build a Rocket Boys!’
Everything Everything ‘Man Alive’
