UK rap's next star-boy 5amDiaries just dropped his wavy new single 'London Town'

19-year-old rap prodigy 5amDiaries has emerged from the hazy night-fog of South London as one of this year’s most exciting breakout acts. Now delivering his brand new single ‘London Town’, the talented up-and-comer is doing everything he can to etch his name in the history books of UK rap.

Following on from his chilled-out debut release, ‘Come Thru’ featuring Jack Homer, 5am has carried that momentum deep into 2022 with two new singles ‘SOFA’ and ‘VIBE’. His latest offering ‘London Town’ raises the bar once again, drawing inspiration from the natural components of his environment, such as nature and vegetation, while developing one of the waviest flows about.

The single describes an average day in 5am’s life pondering the streets of South London, unravelling the trials and tribulations of being a young man in the world of today. Not your stereotypically British-sounding rhythm, ‘London Town’ sees the lyricist opt for more regal, polished sound than his previous releases, contrasting the bouncy, synth-heavy beat with his floaty wordplay.
