One of London’s freshest and most exciting artists, TaliaBle, just dropped her new track and video ‘Adorn’.
In contrast to her last release ‘Muzzled Butterly’, which was a more abrasive and industrial sounding track, ‘Adorn’ is a mind-bending tale of Gen Z love. The track has experimental production and components like a guzheng intro, downtempo percussion and vocals that tease at a melody.
Multi-disciplinary artist TaliaBle recorded the track with regular collaborator and producer, Karl Brinaj, in his Shadwell bedroom studio. Speaking about the new single, she says: “with each summer endeavour, comes the London loving dream. Where we slur love letters to potentials while house hopping from motive to motive, on a search for a soul mate to add to our bubble of a world.”
The video that comes with ‘Adorn’ is the embodiment of just that: it follows TaliaBle on a journey from the end of one party – the camera hovering over a sleeping couple – to the start of another party, where she grabs a mic and starts spitting bars. When she leaves, she is joined by two fantasy creatures.
Combining her work as a visual artist with her way with words, TaliaBle builds an enigmatic and alluring world in which her listeners can climb into. “This track is that dose of serotonin felt when ravelled in utopian hope, thinking we have found the one… Being a hopeless romantic, I wrote ‘Adorn’ to bottle the afterglow of being in awe with someone. Good thing I did because that feeling has been lost again,” says the singer.
