Following the release of his reverb-drenched indie single ‘Paralyzed’ back in February, Edinburgh-based artist Michael Kay Terence, aka Swiss Portrait, returns with a brand new collaborative offering.

Entitled ‘Play With Fire’, it’s the second single to be released in the roll-out for his ‘Safe House’ EP, which is scheduled to drop in April, and sees Swiss Portrait team up with New York-based dream pop band Phantom Handshakes.

With the collaboration taking place completely over the internet, the single represents the creativity and experimental nature of today’s generation who are able to create art with friends found online. Combining the varied bedroom pop styles of two acts on different sides of the Atlantic, ‘Play With Fire’ is a nostalgia-filled anthem ideal for the warmer weather and long summer nights.

Speaking about the track’s lyrics, Fedrica from Phantom Handshakes comments: “It talks about a complicate relationship between people who keep hurting each other, so the relationship is going nowhere. They have to be at peace with themselves first.”
