Afrofusion superstar Burna Boy just released his second single of the year, ‘Question’, produced by and featuring legendary hitmaker Don Jazzy, with a music video set to the vibrant background of Lagos, Nigeria. Reflective of the artists’s heritage, ‘Question’ is sung in a medley of English, Pidgin and Yoruba, with lyrics like “Question but dem no get answer. Anything wey you wish, that be your portion. Na by the grace of God and insha Allah we dey move am.”
Burna Boy has an impressive discography with five studio albums to date, the last of which, ‘Twice as Tall’, featured Chris Brown and Stormzy. This year he teamed up Sia on track, ‘Hey Boy’, which earned the two of them nine joint GRAMMY nominations.
The video for ‘Question’ was directed by TG Omori and begins with an endearing interaction with some children in Pidgin English. ‘Question’ proves that Burna Boy can go on reinventing himself and constantly providing anthems for his listeners. Soon to embark on his Space Drift Arena Tour, Burna Boy just announced Queen Naija, UMI and Donavan’s Sound Club will be joining his concert at Hollywood Bowl on October 8th but he plays London’ O2 Arean this Friday August 27th.
