Premiere: Birthday Boy & Trish - Magic

Toronto-based producer Birthday Boy has become known for his eclectic and inventive musical sense, shown in both his productions and live sets. For his next voyage, he teams up with local songstress Trish for a forthcoming collaborative EP and 7", Joseph, to be released next January on Bastard Jazz.

'Magic', premiering below, is the EP's first single, and is built on top of a Tom Misch guitar loop with a bumping 4/4 beat, swirling synthesizers and Trish's soulful vocals. The type of tune you would vibe out to at a barbecue during the summer, oozing with positivity.
