Throwing Shade has shared a new single called hashtag IRL. The song is the lead single for Nabihah Iqbal's upcoming 'House of Silk' EP on Ninja Tune and follows her previous releases on No Pain In Pop and Kassem Mosse’s Ominira imprint.

Referencing Kraftwerk's Computer Love and reminiscent of her vocal contribution to SOPHIE's Lemonade and L.O.V.E., hashtag IRL is an execution of post-ironic wokeness that Iqbal says is an ode to the “anti-social reality of social media." Like most IRL meetings, it's brief and illuminating, with a tinge of nostalgia colouring the playful melody that weaves between Iqbal's searches and likes.
