Halls – White Chalk

Halls is a young musician and creative writing student from south London called Sam Howard. Soaked equally in the pretty, non-dance end of UK bass and the vanilla end of modern composition, his music is closest in frame and songcraft to folksingers like Elliott Smith, intensely personal, poetic in form and relying on quiet suggestion and subtle strain.
