We do love Future at Dummy – he turned in one of our favourite albums of 2012 in the form of ‘Pluto’ – and at the minute it seems that barely a day goes by without him putting out a new track. What makes Fly Rich interesting is that it comes produced from a less-than-obvious figure – UK grime producer S-X, best known for his still-unstoppable Woo Riddim. Less-than-obvious, perhaps, but not out-there – we described recent Dummy mixer Faze Miyake’s style as “using the rapidly spreading patterns of trap music from the American South”, and S-X is part of the current wave of grime producers adopting sounds from across the pond into their production style. Fly Rich is taken from a new mixtape by Birdman, ‘Rich Gang: All Stars’. Check it here.
