Dpart's 'Really About This' gets an energised remix featuring UK rap veteran Mic Righteous

Following the success of Dpart‘s recent single ‘Really About This’, the North West London rapper is back with a brand new remix of the track.

Produced by Mason X Beats once again, the remix continues the original track’s theme of overcoming Dpart’s old friends’ doubts in him, and the adversity he faced while growing up on a council estate.

This time, however, the Londoner has enlisted a member of UK rap royalty in Mic Righteous to give the cut an exciting new verse. Speaking about the link up, Dpart says: “After the positive response to the original I knew I had to do something else with the track and add more energy… what better person than Mic Righteous to do that?”

Trading bars over a fiery guitar-based drill instrumental, the pair double down on how those around them never believed in their ability to achieve, as they detail some of the things they had to do to get by when growing up poor.

“We are always going to face adversity and people are always going to fail to understand our ambition to be more in life. If I listened to my old friends’ doubts I would have missed out on some of the best moments I’ve had in life that were a result of music. So block out the noise and keep fighting the good fight,’’ says Dpart.
