Ital’s latest album of his dubby and DIY take on house jams is dropping on Planet Mu, and we recorded his album launch in Brooklyn over the weekend. Here, in the live domain, Ital’s past in hardcore punk bands is extra apparent as he thrashed about the stage and connected with the crowd in a way that a lot of solely electronic producers do not. A few technical problems popped up, and the recording is as raw as you would expect from the warehouse set-up, but Ital smiled and plowed right on, fixing things in quick moments and remained completely unfazed.
