This June, the Camden Crawl is returning under its new name, CC14. Taking place at over 25 different venues around Camden on June 20th-21st, the festival boasts the likes of The Field, Mouse On Mars, Of Montreal, and plenty more. New additions to the festival announced today include Livity Sound, Mumdance, Rainer, D/R/U/G/S, and more.
Dummy will be hosting two stages at the festival. On Friday June 20th, we'll be taking over The Jazz Cafe for both an evening show and afterparty. Hyperdub's Laurel Halo, who released one of 2013's finest albums in 'Chance Of Rain', will be performing live. She'll be joined by DFA-signed psychedelic pop collagist Larry Gus, who released the exuberant 'Years Not Living' through DFA last year and whose one man band live show knocked us off our feet at the Dummy AGM last year. New Zealand artist Fis, a recent addition to forward-thinking experimental label Tri Angle, will also be peforming live, and we have one very exciting special guest to be announced shortly.
Afterwards , The Jazz Cafe will switch its focus to a more dancefloor-focused fare. Kuedo, responsible for one of the most blinding debut LPs in recent years in 'Severant', will be playing alongside new school avant-garde grime producer Visionist. They'll be joined by Puzzle, resident at Berghain party Leisure System, and our own Dummy DJs.
On Saturday 21st June, we'll be hosting a lower key party at The Lock Tavern with three excellent DJs. E.m.m.a, who astounded us with her debut album 'Blue Gardens' for the ever-reliable Keysound Recordings last year, will be DJing alongside spectral new South London producer Mokadem and our very own Cadenza.
Friday June 20th, The Jazz Cafe 7pm-3am.
