Azealia Banks cancels summer festival appearances

Bad news for the fans of the 212 star that were hoping to witness the hipness this summer. According to eFestivals, Azealia Banks has announced she has cancelled all her June, July and August summer festival dates.

Despite her incredibly well-received performance at Coachella Festival, her new management has decided that she needs to get back into the studio and invest more time on her forthcoming debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’.

The American rapper was due to perform at Rock Ness, Rough Beats, Parklife, Lovebox, BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and Wakestock in the UK, as well as European festivals including Rock am Ring, Rock Werchter, Main Square Festival, and Way Out West.

However there is good news for all the Bestival and Reading/Leeds ticket-holders. It looks, at the moment, as if these later festival performances are unaffected.

In other Azealia Banks news, you can stream this brand new remix by Smims&Belle (DJ name for Foster The People) of Lana Del Rey’s Blue Jeans, featuring Banks on vocal duties.
