5 nice things about Kwes

1. Kwes has a sharp, refined ear for melody and space, and has produced music for The xx, Micachu, DELS, Speech Debelle, Elan Tamara and Sunless ’97 amongst others.
2. He’s an incredibly sensitive, intuitive observer of the world, as shown in his report about making the DRC Music album in Kinshasa, DRC.
3. He’s pretty shy but he has a mischievous spirit and likes “tricking people with sound” as he told us in person in an interview last summer.
4. Although he plays it down, he’s a brilliant drummer and has performed live with DELS and Elan Tamara.
5. He’s such a massive fan of tea that the logo of his label Bokkle is a teapot.
