Watch the video for Hivern duo INIT's Shake Off Dust

Frankfurt duo Benedikt Frey and Nadia D'Alo have worked on their own solo projects previously as well as together last year on Massimiliano Pagliara's album 'With One Another'. This year they've properly joined forces for John Talabot's label Hivern with an EP and now their debut album Two Pole Resonance.

Shake Off Dust, the centre of the record, now has an accompanying video which we have to share with you above. Casting an ominous tint on the pulsating track, monochrome video snapshots of different objects and locations come in and out of view, coming across like a surrealist short film – complete with a short title shot at the beginning.

We'll leave it to some words from Peter Odinzow who directed the video to explain in more depth: "Nadia and me were both into the idea of making something unusual for their sound and not to submit to a cliché for electronic music. Both gave me the freedom and show their trust in me. The synth sounds inspired me to try something where the light is the main character between the scenes in the video.

Light which might be coming from far away? Or maybe the camera is the the view of somebody having flashbacks after a long night, where reality and fantasy mashed up? Leaving the viewer to make its own interpretation."
