Watch Kanye perform two new tracks

“I just talked to Jesus / He said, what up Yeezus?” is an actual line from the new Kanye West album, we can now confirm. During an intense set at the Governors’ Ball music festival in New York last night, Ye raised anticipation for his new album ‘Yeezus’ to boiling point by performing two as-yet-unheard tracks – On Site and I Am A God – as well as New Slaves (the lead track that was broadcast onto buildings around the world a couple of weeks ago) and Black Skinhead. On Site is a ridiculously high energy electro pounder, while I Am A God is a low-slung track full of sneers and lyrics that are classically, wonderfully narcissistic; both display a radically new sound from the artist, full of synth stabs, hyperactive, almost glitch-y switch-ups and the occasional screaming breakdown. June Eighteen can’t come fast enough.
