Ocean Wisdom is a mercurial 22-year-old spitter signed to High Focus – one of the UK’s most important hip hop labels. His debut album, ‘Chaos 93’ – a fierce, gritty introduction to the world of a rapper with plenty to get off his chest – is right up our street too, furthered by an impressive list of guest features. Legendary UK voices like Klashnekoff, Foreign Beggars and Dirty Dike all make appearances, a testament not only to Ocean Wisdom’s standing in the game, but also the lyrical complexity that make ‘Chaos 93’ such an engaging debut listen.

Many of those lyrics have found new meaning with age too, after, as he explains himself, “cooking on slow heat, absorbing juices for years and years”, although Wisdom’s lyrical style is also an interesting talking point.
